HOW TO VOTE IN THE PRIMARY

FOR VOTERS AFFILIATED WITH A POLITICAL PARTY THAT IS PARTICIPATING IN THE PRIMARY ELECTION

Every voter affiliated with a political party that is participating in the primary election will automatically receive a ballot in the mail for their party’s primary election. Fill out your ballot and either take it to a VSPC, drop-off site, or mail it back. Find your closest VSPC and drop-off sites for the primary election on our homepage.

To receive a ballot by mail, your address must be current. Check your voter registration and update your address no later than June 22 in order to receive a ballot in the mail. After June 22, you may go to any Voter Service & Polling Center (VSPC) and obtain a ballot or cast a ballot in-person.

At least one VSPC will be open in your county for the primary election starting on June 22nd and ending at 7PM on June 30th. Find your closest Voter Service and Polling Center for the primary election on our homepage.

FOR UNAFFILIATED VOTERS

Since 2018, unaffiliated voters have been able to participate in primary elections. All unaffiliated voters will be mailed two ballots – a Democratic primary ballot and a Republican primary ballot. Unaffiliated voters may only vote and return ONE BALLOT! If you vote any or all races on more than one ballot, none of your votes will be counted. Remember: Only vote one ballot. You should destroy the ballot that you do not vote.

After filling out the one ballot you want to vote, either take it to a drop-off site or mail it back. Find your closest drop-off sites for the primary election using the map on our homepage.

If you need a replacement ballot, or if you want to vote in-person in the primary election, at least one VSPC will be open in your county for the primary election starting on June 22 and ending at 7PM on June 30th. FOR VOTERS AFFILIATED WITH A PARTY THAT IS NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE PRIMARY ELECTION
