  • are a United States citizen,
  • have resided in Colorado 22 days immediately before the election (10/16 at the latest) at which you intend to vote, AND

You may register to vote at any time up to and including on Election Day. You can do so on the Colorado Secretary of State’s website or in person at a Voter Service and Polling Center. If you want to receive a ballot by mail, you must register no later than October 30.

HOW TO VOTE IN THE ELECTION

UPDATE YOUR REGISTRATION

You can easily update your voter registration on the Secretary of State’s website using your Colorado ID or the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. If you cannot locate your voter record online, please contact your county clerk and recorder’s office. A list of all county clerk and recorder’s offices can be found here.

To receive a ballot by mail, your address must be current. Check your voter registration and update your address no later than October 30 in order to receive a ballot in the mail. After October 30, you may go to any Voter Service & Polling Center (VSPC) and obtain a ballot or cast a ballot in-person.

At least one VSPC will be open in your county for the general election starting on October 30th and ending at 7PM on November 7th. Find your closest Voter Service and Polling Center for the election on our homepage.

VOTE IN PERSON

Every Coloradan has the option to vote in person rather than returning their mail ballot. You may vote in person at any Voter Service and Polling Center (VSPC) in your county. Find the closest VSPC to you by using the map below.

VOTE YOUR MAIL BALLOT

You can complete your mail ballot and either return it by mail or deposit it at a drop box or Voter Service & Polling Center (VSPC). Find the closest drop box or VSPC to you by using the map below.

If you return your ballot via mail, make sure to affix postage. All ballots must be received by 7 PM on Election Day: Tuesday, November 7. Postmarks do not count. We recommend mailing your ballots no later than Monday, October 30th to ensure they arrive on time. After that date, we advise dropping your ballot at a secure dropbox.

Map and Category explanations:

Please note that the map functions best if you enter an address and choose a single category at a time. There should be a list of results below the map as well as color-coded pins on the map after you search.

  • "VSPC" means the location is a full-service Voter Service and Polling Center and will show results in your county if you enter your address.
  • "Drop-off" is a list of locations where you can walk or drive up to drop off your ballot. Results are also filtered by county if you enter a search address.
  • "Dropbox" is a list of standalone dropboxes where you can drop your ballot (Remember that you can drop your ballot off at any official dropbox in the state and your ballot will get back to your county).

**Reminder that you must be in line at a VSPC or dropbox by 7 pm on November 7, 2023 (Election Day) in order to be counted. If voting by mail, we recommend mailing it out no later than Oct. 30 to ensure it's received by 7pm on Election Day.

Lastly, we have done our best to verify this information such as hours and locations, but if in doubt, please check with your county clerk's or the Colorado Secretary of State's Office.
